Animal Cruelty

People should go to jail for Animal Cruelty because abusing animals is just the same as abusing people. Animal Cruelty intentional or behavioral problems in human beings. Animal Cruelty basically refers to any act of violence brutality or even neglect directed towards any animals. It includes abuse, use of animals in sports such as animal fights and also where animals are denied the basic necessities of food, water and shelter. Ninety-four percent of animal testing is done to determine the safety of cosmetics and household products leaving only 6% for medical research!

I really agree that Animal Cruelty should be stopped because it is just like abusing a person but it's an animal, what is the big difference between an animal and a human being. If people are going to abuse animals then it is just the same as abusing people like us. Animals can feel, learn, and do some same stuff just like people can too.

Watermelon the super fruit.

A study by a team of researchers at Florida State university have found that by eat it regularly has the potential to prevent hypertension. Hypertension is known as the "Silent killer and is blamed for more than 10,000 death a year. Researchers in the u.s. gave a group of volunteers a daily dose of 6g of L-citrulline extracted from watermelons. All of those taking part had prehypertension or borderline high blood pressure.after six weeks the readings on all nine participants improved. The researchers found that watermelons with orange flesh contain more L-citrulline than those with red flesh. Both varieties are rich in vitamins A, B6 and C and high in fiber. Watermelon is also a good source of potassium, which is thought to lower blood pressure.Lycopene, the pigment that gives the fruit it's colour, is credited with a host of health benefits, from warding off cancer to boosting fertility. Fortunately for those who aren't fond of the fruit, the L-citrulline compound can also bought in pill form.

The cons for watermelon is that to get the needed amount of L-citrulline you would need to eat one and a half watermelons and the amount of water you obtain from eating that amount could cause slight hydrointoxication. watermelons are also high in sugar.

Animal Rights

JORDON C All suffering degrades quality of life, and should be prevented whenever possible. Since humans have the capacity to make animals suffer, animals must have legal rights to protect them from wrongful treat meant.



(point) When animals are used for scientific or entertainment purpose, they suffer unnecessarily. This is wrong cause animals are not objects. Just like humans, animals share some experiences like suffering. Everyday humans cause animal suffering in Laboratories, animals are purposely infected with diseases. Factory farm animals never see the light of day, while in butchering facilities the animals are skinned alive. the list of human atrocities againts animals is endless. Most incidents of animals cruelty can be prevented. For example Vegetarianism is a healthy, alternative option that decreases the demand of meat, while fur and leather can be replaced by synthetic alternatives


(counterpoint) A great amount of time, energy, and ink has been devoted to discussion of the moral and ethical arguments surrounding animals rights. There are between three and four hundred animal rights groups operating in Canada. While some of the work that such groups carry out is worth wild and protective of animals. Animal rights activists seek the total abolition of any and all kinds of exploitation of animals. Some animal right activists have succeeded in drawing attention to abusive and inhumane uses of animal experimentation and testing producers. Others unfortunately, are misguided by a twisted logic that somehow places the welfare of animals above the welfare of humans. This has Left to a long list of incidents that includes fire bombing, tampering with food products. physical assaults causing severe bodily harm, property damage, arsons, death threats, and variety of other acts that speaks less about the actual concern for the well-being of animals, and more about the need for violence, destruction, attention and exposure.

I think animal rights are a good thing because there is alot of people out there abusing animals, letting them suffer and starve. But with animal rights some animals can get away from all that and live the normal lives they are suppose to.

I agree family equals love because if you dont have love then there would be no famliy, for example if you dont get along with your family then there would be no love within your family. I learn about myself and others in my family because I see how they act around me and how they see how I act around them. Family is the world's best teacher because they teach you about your morals abd what you believe in. When your a baby they guide you and help you do simple things like walk and they watch you grow. Family is always there for you, especially when you sad or mad or need help and your family should be there for you.

In conclusion, I believe family should be a big part of your life for these reasons.

the bann aginst pitbulls

peolpe dont want pitbulls to be leagal due ti the fact that they are known to be violent.
people who are afraid of animals will be controled by the animal , but people who show no fear of the animal will be able taim/train the animal. people in Camanche want to bann pitbulls due to a recent attack of a local labrador retrevor (www.whbf.com)

i completely disagree of the banning of pitbulls due to the fact of when I was younger I had a pitbull. hi namewas Tommy and he was the sweetest dog I ever had. the thing with any animal that comes from a violent or visious background/history can be taimed if you raise the animal properly from EX: puppy. you can raise any animal to be kind and loyal if you really wanted to. all you need to do is trteat it with love and respect and train them properly. clayton ruby launched the bann on monday september 5th 2010 and was wrong!!!!!
